Cylindrical Roller Bearings

Cylendrical roller bearings are separable radial bearings. The line contact between rollers and raceways is modified, thus eliminating edge stressing. The radial load carryying capacity and the speed limit are very high. The permissible angular deflaction from the central possition amount 2 to 4. The various types of cylendrical roller bearings are determinated by the arrangement of the lips. Type N has two lips on the inner ring and a lipless outer ring. Type NU is characterized by two lips on the outer ring and a lipless inner ring. Cylendical roller bearings of type N and NU can compensate length variation of the shaft within the bearing itself and are thus ideal floating bearings. Cylendrical roller bearings of type NJ have two lips at the outer ring and one lip at the inner ring. Thrust loads are absorbed in one direction only. Complimented with an anglering HJ, type NJ becomes a locating bearing which can carry thrust loads in both direction. Type NU may only be used with one angle ring cylendrica roller bearings of type NUP act as fixed bearings which can carry thrust loads in both direction. Normally all cylendrical roller bearings are delivered by AFK bearings within the clearance group, for the accomodation for the extremly high radial loads, cylendrical roller bearings with optimized roller sets are available.
